When times are tough and stress is high I find it most helpful to start or change an exercise program in include fresh air. The gym is great, group sports are fun, but when you need to work on 'you' then go it alone. I say get a new pair of tennis shoes and grab some water and hit the road. If you are a runner you might want to run, but honestly I think power walking is the best of both worlds. You get the fresh air in your lungs, you travel a little slower than when running and so can enjoy the views and think more clearly. Lastly, unless safety is an issue I think this is best done alone so you can truly relax and regroup.
