My Priorities for Decision-Making

by Billy Arcement, MEd.
(Louisiana)

I have a rewarding life outside of work because I've worked very hard to spend most of my time on what is important to me.

My priorities for decision making are God, Family and Career in that order.

Doing so brings consistency in the decision process because priorities are very clear.

If a career decision gets in the way of family, I go with family. If faced with a moral or ethical choice, I will always go to what God's expectations are even if it means losing business and income.

Therefore, my life outside of work is very clear and focused on my personal priorities. This has worked for me for over 40 years that I've been in professional careers.
