Making Less Commitments - That's My Commitment

by Chandra Jones
(New York City Area)

I can relate. With work, home, kids and travel - my Christmases have begun to feel like a chore. I'd like to be more selfish, like you talk about, but it's hard.

I guess I could be more selective @ what I commit to. And I could let the kids commit to less too. Sometimes it just gets going in a swirl, and then we're off and running, with out thought, almost on auto-pilot.

I'm going to try to make less commitments this year. I don't HAVE to bake cookies for everyone, I don't HAVE to decorate the yard, the house and everyone!

I'm going to put feeling good first, and see what happens. I would really like to be and feel more in 'the spirit' this year.

Will begin on it now - ah - just feels better to decide this. Thanks Suzie.

SUZIE COMMENTS...

Chandra, Thanks for taking the time to share.

I know what you mean about 'the swirl' - I love that you're going to commit to less - Less yes'ing to others, and more yes'ing to you.

I found it was easier to do less of what others wanted me to do, then I thought. I just had to decide that tuning into and following what was best for me (and my family) was important.

All the Best, and More to You and Your Family this Holiday Season!
