Best Advice I Ever Received, Best Advice I Can Give...

by Margaret Murphy
(Georgia)

Best advice I ever received: People will not remember what you did or what you said, but they will remember how you made them feel.

This was the best advice for me because my growth area is to be more aware of how my words and actions affect others….understanding how my message is being received vs. how I think it is being received.

Best advice I could give: From Judy Garland... ”It’s better to be a first class version of yourself than a second class version of anyone else.”

SUZIE'S COMMENTS...

Margaret,

Love this. I can't tell you how often I hear people recapping what they said to someone - some 'sage advice' they gave. Not very often do I hear people recapping how they made someone feel - but you are so right THAT (how others make us feel) is what we remember isn't it?

My fav teacher, Abraham, says, "Words don't teach, it's life experience that teaches..."

Being a powerful influence is seeing the best in others and believing in their 'first class' version of who they are.

Love these reminders and really appreciate your sharing.

All the Best, and More!
Suzie
