I love your homesick story and appreciate your courage for sharing it! Your video on "the universal dream team" is great. I can relate to your Toastmasters focus wheel exercise.
Cultivating that attitude of gratitude definitely is key to shifting your energy and dissipating fear.
When it comes to transforming challenging relationships at work--like a difficult boss or coworker--if you can refrain from criticizing them (out loud or in your thoughts)for one week and instead identify one thing a day you appreciate about them, the energy will shift and you will get along better.
It might be hard to find something to appreciate at first, so it might be simply that they teach you to be more patient. When I share that in my talks, people resonate with it, try it and reap the benefits.
