I'm pleased to share this small business management software
interview with Tom Brady. Tom and I first met several years ago through a
mutual friend and colleague. Tom is passionate about helping leaders and teams around the world reach their full potential. He purchased the Small Business Survey Software tool from me. Thank
you Tom for taking the time to interview, for being a Priceless client
and for working so diligently to bring more joy, passion and love for
life to the world! Here's our interview:
Suzie: Tom, thank you for taking time to share your insights. First, please tell folks what you’re passionate about in your work, along with what you do and why you do it.
Tom Brady: I am passionate about helping people awaken to their limitless possibilities by living this formula: G + L + F = Joy. We all want happiness in our lives (JOY). It all boils down to the formula.
The God (Greatness, Genius, Goodness)
which is manifested in you, no matter how you pronounce the “Ah” in
your God, allows you to “wake up. The more you are clear and focused
with your God (Unique Ability, Personal Mission & Values, Passions),
the more you Love yourself and will constantly be “Waking Up Living the Life You Love” in service of those who Love what you do. That’s when life is Fun and it all adds up to pure Joy! Thus G + L + F = Joy my formula for a passionate, happy life.
Suzie: So we can all know more about you personally, tell us about a hobby or interest that you have, outside of work.
Tom: I like things related to fitness, like Tennis; Swimming; Light Weight Lifting; Working-Out.
Suzie: us how you’re using the Small Business Management Software for surveys in your business as you work with your clients. How is it helping you help teams and leaders grow?
Tom: Suzie as you know I started using the software, with your help in June of 2009. I have a 23 item team survey that I use in my Four Levels of Team Consciousness Workshop and XLR8 Teams Process.
Prior to using the Small Business Management Software for surveys, I was gathering information for this workshop by hand. This took time and was not near as efficient as the software.
Since using small business management software for surveys, gathering the results is so much easier. Also, since data collection is more confidential online, I feel as though answers from participants are even more honest - this gives us more accurate information with more ease.
The 20/20 small business management software provides the data we need to measure where the team is now and how much progress they make over time. I'm a firm believer that what gets measured gets improved!
Suzie: How do you like using the small business management software for surveys? What’s the learning curve been like and the Support?
Tom: Suzie you helped us set up the original XLR8 Teams template, thank you. But since I decided to purchase the software I've been able to figure out the rest with minimal mistakes.
I like that they offer step-by-step videos to walk me through every step of survey creation and it's assuring to know that tech support is only a phone call away. Also it's pretty intuitive to use.
I'm very busy so I would not have bought this
small business management software for surveys if I did not believe set
up and use was easy and pretty effortless. I like that I can use the software not only for teams surveys, but for 360 feedback and customer surveys. The "done for you" templates look good, plus I can customize every part of every survey I will need in the future.
Suzie: What tips would you share about 20/20 Small Business Survey software with other small business owners and consultants who are trying to decide if this is something they might want to consider?
Tom: In my
view, the cost is minimal for the software & the per use is also
reasonable. This system makes it easier to measure progress on the work
Suzie: In all of your consulting work with leaders and teams, what do you see are the things that stop people from waking up eager more often?
Suzie: What things do you personally do in the search for finding motivation and support and staying energized, focused and interested in your work?
Tom: I have a daily happiness list I go over which are connected to my
Passions and markers (Things I want to manifest). Physical activity and
some spiritual practices are also daily habits.
Suzie: Tell us a little more about you and your work/business.
Tom: Husband, Father of 3; Grandfather of 1; I hold an ACSW from Syracuse University and a BS in business from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). I also completed the majority of the course work toward an MBA at RIT.
25+ years as an executive in the health care industry, I developed an
executive leadership and organizational transformation coaching practice
- The XLR8 Team - in 1994. I am most grateful to his anchor
client Wegmans Food Markets, who I have been working with since 2001,
currently in the Hall of Fame of the Fortune “100 Best Companies to
Work For” ® list, reaching #1 overall in 2005.
Suzie: Thank you for sharing your thoughts and insight. Let's let people know how they can contact you...
