Self Confidence Tip: Share Your Skills and Experience with Others - Become a Volunteer!

by SuzyQ
(Glen Allen, Virginia - USA)

If you’ve suffered a setback and are feeling like you have no worth, then get involved! All you need to do is...

...find a worthwhile charitable organization or group that you believe in, and ask if they need or want any volunteers.

Almost every charity needs help and assistance in any number of capacities, and soon you will be sharing your knowledge skills and abilities with people who will validate your worth and make you feel great.

In addition, you will be making a difference in the lives of others.

You don’t have to look far to find a place to volunteer.

If you’re a parent, try your child’s school. You can also check with your local religious organizations or check you’re your hospital or hospice. The possibilities are endless.

Becoming a volunteer not only makes you feel better about yourself, but it also helps others at the same time.

It keeps you active and it is something that you can legitimately list on your resume. And who knows – you may actually network your way into an opportunity or meet someone who can help you out of your current situation.

At any rate, becoming a volunteer is a positive step to boosting your ego and self-confidence and helping others at the same time.

Go do it!
