Self Confidence Tip: It's Your Life, and You're In Control
About a year ago, I lost my job. I fell into an emotional slump; I felt useless. No job, no income, and two kids to support. I would have been doomed, if not for my incredible wife who stuck by me throughout.
I was working for a pretty decent sized companies, but during the credit crunch, there was a lay-off and unfortunately, I was one of the people now jobless.
Seeing her continue to work hard, despite the challenge that had overcome us inspired me.
One day, I had a long talk with her and she told me something I'll never forget: It's your life, and you're in control. Whatever you want, you can have. You just need to get out there and take it."
Within a week, I had 5 interviews lined up. When I was laid off, I thought that I had lost everything, but in truth, I only lost my job.
I still had my skills, my knowledge, my abilities, etc. Just because you're out of a job doesn't make you any less of who you are.
All you need to do is get out there and show them you CAN come back!
