My First Vacation in Two Years, Fresh Thoughts and Reflection

Well...after 20 years of self employment I entered into the financial services industry.

I have been in the industry for about 12 years and have finally realized that I'm not in business for myself any longer! What do I mean by that?

I believe in hard work and giving your best and always will, but I have been consumed with my work as if I owned the business I have been working for (it's hard to work any other way when you have worked for yourself).

This is the 1st time I have taken a vacation in almost 2 years working for the present company. I finally admitted I needed some time off.

Now that I am taking the time off, I am coming up with so many fresh thoughts and ideas for my training. More importantly, I'm allowing myself to think about what is truly important in my life.

I believe training is a gift that has been given to me and I love what I do but there is so much more that I need to stop and be thankful for!

BTW, The only reason this was written was because I am on vacation and have had time to reflect. I think I'll go for a walk!
