Johnny Cash sings a Thanksgiving Prayer on an episode of Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman
I love his refrain: "Thanksgiving Day for the Rest of My Life" - a wonderful habit to create, giving thanks every day, for all the Good we live.
It takes about 50 seconds for him to get into his song, but it is worth wait!
May every day be a thanksgiving-type of day!

Choose to Be Unstoppable: Anthony Robles Story at the ESPY's
An inspiring story about a good guy, Anthony Robles, with a tremendous story highlighted by winning an NCAA wrestling championship followed by two ESPY's earlier this year.
I love it what Jay Leno said when he introduced Anthony at this year's ESPY awards, "Anthony was born with only one leg. It shouldn't matter to you, because it's never mattered to him."
Here's a recap of the last part of Anthony's speech:
“I am Unstoppable” "Every soul who comes to earth with a leg or two at birth must wrestle his opponents knowing its not what is, but what can be, that measures worth. Make it hard, just make it possible and through pain, I won't complain. My spirit is unconquerable. Fearless I will face each foe for I know I am capable. I don't care what’s probable, through blood sweat and tears I am unstoppable." -Anthony Robles

What All People Want...
I use this video in many of my leadership, communication and team building seminars. (3 minutes, 39 seconds) Good music, pictures, quotes and overall message.
I've watched "Hugs for Free" videos before, but this one was especially moving. The combination of the music, Hallelujah, and the hesitant hugs that lead to joy---well, it is very uplifting.
Maybe you can't hug your employees, but there are small and free actions we can all offer daily to express each employee's innate goodness and value.

What Matters: The Power of YOU
A Quick Quiz - See How You Do
I've used this exercise with corporate clients. Take a moment to answer each of the questions, and read all the way through. I think you’ll find it well worth a moment of your time. I hope you enjoy it!
Do You Know The Answers?
Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.
Name five people who have won the Nobel Peace Prize.
Name last year’s Academy Award winner for Best Actor or Actress.
How did you do? If you are like me you didn't get too many of these.
None of us remembers the headliners of yesterday. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:
List three teachers who aided your journey through school.
List three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
Name someone who made you feel appreciated and special.
Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
Easier? Notice: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care.

Being Authentic...
This 2 minute clip from a guy I do not know caught my attention.
Some of the comments from this video that have stayed with me, include...
"Everything & everyone one in this life has a certain creative mission to accomplish..."
"...and what's amazing is that it's unique to each person..."
"It is only in the process of life itself...that we begin to discover what our authentic role is... it is the ultimate creative act to find and give expression of who are authentically"
"As we find our way into our authentic self the community of life will blossom for it."
This took me by surprise - as mentioned before I'm kind of wimp @ things that are sad. This is not only not sad, it's hilarious, and then BAM he gets you right in the heart with his sharing of Universal Truth. Memorable. Meaningful Fun. Inspiring.
Here's a little bit of information about this delightful man:
Jack Rushton, is a respected religious leader and educator. On August 1, 1989, while enjoying an afternoon with his family in Laguna Beach, CA, Jack body-surfed a small, seemingly harmless wave towards the shore. Unexpectedly, the wave drove him into the sand head first. Since that day, he has been paralyzed from the neck down and respirator dependent.
From that day to this, Jack Rushton is even more influential and inspirational than before. His cheerful attitude, amidst such a trial, has helped others reach beyond themselves and become great as well in the process.
Jack and his wife Jo Anne are the parents of six children and 17 grandchildren. They reside in Southern California and in spite of their challenges, truly believe "It's Good to Be Alive!"

For this month's inspiration picture, enjoy this video - it really moved me.
I'm a wimp and I stay away from watching sad videos - I hate to see people suffer. At first I thought this was going to be sad - but I'm glad I watched all 2:40 minutes of it.
It is very inspiring!
What makes it happy for me is seeing how Nick Vujicics is so at peace with himself. He's become a new role model for me.
Finding peace with where we are is key to moving forward, waking up eager and finishing strong. Nick's someone I'd like to know, someone who's found incredible joy, peace and strength.

Are You Going to Finish Strong?
For this month's inspiration pictures, videos and insights I'm sharing two inspiring videos.
As we watch and listen to these talented and aligned performers sing in this month's inspiration picture, we can take a moment to remember those who've given their lives in service to our country.
The singers, though completely different, paint and inspirational picture by demonstrating the power of their own charisma. It's inspiring to see others in the moment, and on purpose. We can all bring inspiration to what we do, whether you're a singer, a child, a soldier, a mom, a leader or an accountant.
"True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost." ---Arthur Ashe
Marvin Gaye
On the off chance you’re not familiar with Marvin Gaye, he was Motown’s top-selling solo artist during the sixties, and ranked by Rolling Stone as #6 in its list of The Greatest Singers of All Time.
Part of what made Marvin so great was his unique approach to soulful songwriting and performance. But how can Marvin Gaye serve as an inspiration picture when everyone who does this song does same ol’ thing?
Well, watch and listen to his rendition of The Star Spangled Banner, and maybe you’ll find your own unique inspiration that sets you apart from the pack.
Inspiration Picture and Snapshot: Talented Young Ladies Sing and WOW the Crowd
The Star Spangled Banner like you've never heard it before! This was at Texas Tech University Basketball game. The National Anthem is sung by five young ladies.
An entire arena remains completely silent throughout the song. You could hear a pin drop.
Take a moment to listen to this, you won't regret it.The two young ladies on the right are six years old. The two in the middle are seven and the one on the left is eight.
Thanks for tuning in... May your days be filled with even more energy, direction, alignment and inspiration.
