Abe Lincoln Said It Best
by Heidi Richards Mooney

#1 I live by the philosophy of Abe Lincoln ~ "Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."
My childhood was not exactly perfect and I often said to myself, when I grow up and am in control of my own life, I will be happy. I made up my mind, and it has been a self-fulfilling prophesy.
#2 Help other people find happiness. I have also found that if people around me are happy, I am happiest. I do that by finding ways of making wonderful memories they can take with them, to feel better about themselves. When we feel good about ourselves, our confidence is high and we are happier.
Thanks so much for the great discussion!
Here's to the pursuit of and attainment of "happy-ness"
